Major Achievements and Outstanding Deeds
The development of Harvest Star has been driven by the company’s commitment to scientific development, its insistence on independent innovation, and its ongoing efforts to refine corporate restructuring. As one of the earliest Chinese enterprises to enter the field of CNC machine tools, Harvest Star was recognized in 2013 as a Guangdong Provincial Engineering Technology Research Center. The company has now built a robust R&D team of 158 professionals who possess solid theoretical foundations, high technical expertise, and extensive practical engineering experience. Over the past five years, the company’s R&D expenditure has accounted for more than 3.5% of its sales revenue, consistently enhancing its independent innovation capabilities. Harvest Star specializes in the R&D, production, sales, and service of CNC machine tools, with products covering eight major series: drilling and tapping machines, vertical machining centers, gantry machines, horizontal machining centers, milling and engraving machines, graphite mold processing machines, ceramic processing machines, and industrial robots. The company’s monthly production capacity exceeds 1,500 units, and its products are widely used in sectors including consumer electronics, automotive manufacturing, mold making, clocks and instruments, textiles and apparel, medical devices, aerospace, new energy, and automation. The company’s products have been validated by over 6,000 customers, and the total number of installed machines in the market exceeds 30,000 units. To support the national strategy of achieving self-reliance and controllability in equipment manufacturing, Harvest Star invested in 2018 in Zhong County, Chongqing, to build a “High-end Intelligent Equipment Manufacturing Base.” The base is planned to cover a total area of 1,000 mu, with the first phase—covering 180 mu—expected to be completed and put into operation as early as July 2019. This phase will primarily focus on mass production of high-end, medium- and large-sized gantry machines and boring-milling centers. The establishment of this base is of great significance for elevating China’s equipment manufacturing standards, promoting the development of the manufacturing industry, and breaking the monopoly of foreign high-end CNC machine tools.
(2) National Model Workers in the Machinery Industry
According to the National Model Workers in the Machinery Industry, the model workers honored under this title are primarily selected based on their outstanding achievements in the following areas: diligently studying and mastering advanced technologies, rigorously honing basic operational skills, and selflessly dedicating themselves to their current positions; improving product quality, reducing production costs, expanding into both domestic and international markets, and enhancing economic benefits; making significant contributions to the research and development of major technological equipment, conducting critical technology research and tackling key technical challenges, promoting the application of high technologies, facilitating the commercialization of scientific research results, designing and developing new products, striving to create renowned and high-quality products, and implementing brand strategies.
